NEW MUSIC is COMING!
Last year I came up with a new album concept which I ended up making into an EP (6 songs). I have artwork ideas, put together. I even have 3 songs ready to mix and an idea ready to work on..... but life has drain my time, money and enthusiasm .... Work on it has come to less than a snails pace!
Nevertheless, it will eventually get done. I will keep you posted as worthy updates become available.
I will probably end up using CD Baby when I am ready. I like Tunecore a lot, but I want to try something different.
Thank you all for your support, and may 2012 become a GOOD year for us all!!
Peace, Love and Light

Well, Google finally got things together. I now have a page for SAXD Music!
Click here to visit my Google+ SAXD Page
If you have been watching my LastFM profile you may have seen a couple of new songs and a 3rd in the works. I still need to mix them and this time I want to get the mastered........but this will take a while ($$).
Work is still crazy and takes a lot of my time and energy. This new album or EP I am working on will take a while to complete. Besides the excuses already money will be the next hurdle........
I do hope you all are having a safe enjoyable Thanksgiving!!
This time we are departing from the norm..... Spaghetti instead of turkey!!!

Google+
Well, I was wondering if they would catch it or not. They caught it so I removed my profile. It is there service, they can make the rules, and if I don't like it I can leave....So I did! They did not like the fact I go by a nick name or a band name. Thank God I have my own web space. Do I sound a little upset...yes, but I knew this was a possibility going in and therefore I can not be upset.
Google + looks great. I personally do not like Facebook or My Space. As a band or Artists that does not go by their personal name or uses a symbol like Prince did (I am half tempted to myself) you get left out.
I know they are designing it for "people". Excluding aspects of our lives that we enjoy?.....That does not seem to social to me. Maybe they are trying really hard to not just be another copy of Facebook or Myspace? Which I totally applaud them! No games are offered...dang, now I am left with just socializing? Well, that is what it is about.
I personally feel they will fail with this if they keep excluding aspects of our lives, society and how we socialize. When they finally shit and get off the pot, well, I will be back. Until then I continue using their other services, like Chrome, it is by far the best browser I have ever used.

It's Been Awhile
It has been quite awhile since I last posted something here.
I really have not had any new info to add.
With all that has been going on in the world and my personal life, I feel the build up of creativity and need to release it in some manner. Ideas are starting to flow again.
I do hope that everyone hangs in there, doesn't get crazy and stays safe. Things always get better.

June 19, 2010
It started out pretty normal. Up at 5:30 am. Got ready for work. Could not concentrate on the label or my music, nor the games I like to play...so I got to work about an hour early.
We had tri tip for lunch! That was very good. Then later we heard more sirens than normal stopping just down the street from us (about a good long block). Turns out our favorite Del Taco (Del Rosa & Highland) had a shooting. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2010/06/20/police-search-motive-deadly-calif-restaurant-shooting/
This is so sad. My sympathies to the family and friends.
After work I changed my cloths and we left for San Manuel Amphitheater to see Iron Maiden and Dream Theater! I have been so excited to see BOTH groups!!! Finally we are there. We had a few beers after we parked. We then got into the longest line I have ever seen. It looked like they were not letting anyone in. The people I went with were seasoned concert goers (but had never been to this hard of a concert). The last time they seen a line like this was at the US Festival. By the time we got searched and in we were hungry. While standing in line to get (over priced) food and beer Dream Theater started playing Pull Me Under. When we finally got onto the grass to watch, they were already setting up the stage for Iron Maiden.
Jumpin Jimmy Christ!!!! I did not even get to see Dream Theater!!!!!! Iron Maiden came on half an hour late to make sure everyone got in, and they didn't not even play Run to the Hills or The Trooper :-( Thankfully Iron Maiden kicks ass!!! This was a wonderful show!!! I am glad I was able to be there.
Now, I must remind you as I have mentioned before, I am a hermit. I don't like crowds. I have only been to 3 concerts my entire life and that wasn't till a few years ago. At the same venue we saw Styx/Kansas and Styx/REO. The 3rd one we saw Quiet Riot at the Crossroads Bar & Grill in Yucaipa, CA. Now I can add the 4th Iron Maiden/almost Dream Theater. This experience was WAY different than seeing STYX.
The crowd was LARGE. Even thought we are a bunch of head bangers the age range was awesome!!! All of my IE brothers and sisters seemed to get along. Everyone was friendly! And special thanks to the guys the helped us jump start the truck!!! And another special thanks to all the designated drivers I met. You guys are special and are appreciated by all of us!!!
The Food: if AM/PM would serve that type of food I would eat there more often!!! I had the BEST chili cheese fries that I have ever eaten. 9 Fricken Dollars!!! Gin on ice 20 Fricken Dollars!!! Large cheese burger 6 Fricken Dollars!!! Beer 5 Fricken Dollars!!! But............it was good!!!!!!
Yes, I bought 2 shirts.................$70.00!!!!! I bought them inside, not from the guy walking through the parking lot.
We stood in the grass area. The smell of pot floating through the air. The smell of burning plastic from all the fires people were starting. The dancing around these fires and tripping and bumping into each other. People starting their shirts on fire and swinging them around their heads. One guy next to me got hit with one of these swinging shirts and his shirt caught on fire too. The port-a-pots were at a slight angle...was this a joke...after drinking a bunch of beer and then trying to stand in one of these and pee without going all over yourself, that was a test............... ................WOW, what an experience!!!!
That was my Fathers Day Present!!!
Happy Fathers Day!!!

Thom Yorke Warns The Music Business 'Will Fold In Months'
WOW! This is very interesting.
I found this on Ultimate Guitar.
In a rare interview, Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke has warned young musicians not to tie themselves to the "sinking ship" of the music industry, suggesting it will soon collapse. The singer said it is "only a matter of time - months rather than years - before the music business establishment completely folds," he said in an interview for a school textbook.
He advises musicians to self-release music rather than yearn for a major label contract, suggesting the loss of the mainstream music industry will be "no great loss to the world."
His group, who were previously signed to EMI, shook the industry after offering a "pay what you want" system for the digital release of "In Rainbows" in 2007. The model has since become a common option for groups selling their music online with stores such as BandCamp.com.
Although the concept of the whole music establishment folding may seem implausible, it could be agreed that the annual deluge of music graduates often find they have few full-time prospects. The RIAA report that music piracy is now costing 71,060 US jobs and $2.7 billion (£1.86 billion) in workers' earnings every year. However, hard times have encouraged some of the most prolific music movements in history. The modern affordability of recording equipment and global distribution could be the factors that prove Thom Yorke right.
The interview was for a new school textbook, The Rax Active Citizen Toolkit, which aims to engage young people with political issues, and also features interviews with Ms Dynamite and newsreader Jon Snow.
Thanks for the report to Spinner.com.
